Someone asked me recently why am l frugal. The next question was how do l do it. So this is a blog about my frugal living, how l live within my means and still have a good life on a low income.
These are my new to me sneakers. They look brand new, but, they're not. These were bought for $15 at an op shop.
I don't buy new clothes, shoes etc and l only buy what l need. A very generous person donated these to an op shop and l was lucky enough to see them; a lucky find by me. My old sneakers were starting to fall to bits, had a few holes and, just when l thought l needed a new pair l found them.
Brand new these would probably be close to, or maybe more than $100. I can't afford $100 shoes, but, can afford $15 shoes.
I do this with all my clothing. Nothing is bought on a spur of the moment. I wait, do the rounds of the op shops, and then, only then, will l buy something. Needless to say that l don't have a large wardrobe, don't need a large wardrobe but have all l need.
By saving money on things like this l can save money for things l love to do; clothes shopping is not something l love to do.
Frugal living 101.
